Toshiba Satellite E45T-A4300

The ultraportable market is very swelled in recent years, with Ultrabooks and thin laptops as being the style-du-jour for the manufacturer of the laptop altogether. While many pricy ultraportables available for $ 1,000 or more, the entry-level space is probably the most important, drawing the slim design and premium features of more expensive systems, but delivers a thin and light laptop for affordable prices. The Toshiba Satellite E45t-A4300 is just like an ultrabook, which offers solid performance, all-day battery life, and a design that looks more luxurious than the price tag might suggest.

As an ultrabook, the Satellite E45t-A4300 is a slim and portable laptop, measuring 0.8 by 13.4 by 9.2 inches (HWD), about the same size as the Lenovo IdeaPad U430 Touch, and just a little heavier than 4.4 pounds. While similar in many respects the same price Lenovo U430 Touch,

Satellite E45t-A4300 premium borrows some elements from another laptop, the more expensive Toshiba Kirabook. Satellite E45t-A4300 imitate brushed metal exterior and the Toshiba Kirabook slim tapered chassis. Satellite E45t-A4300 is an affordable silver brushed aluminum chassis rather than the expensive, feather-light magnesium alloy Kirabook (£ 2.7), but differences among the material (and the subsequent weight difference), the two look very similar. It is also a far cry from molded plastic chassis so the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite, which also aped premium design, but reduced the price by cutting corners.

Featuring Satellite E45t-A4300 A 14-inch touch screen with 1366 by 768 resolution, which is the standard in quality display for this price range. Offers the touch screen 10-digit tracking, and looks pretty good despite the usual resolutions.

The chiclet keyboard is backlit with a soft glow that lets you continue to type easily, even in a darkened airplane cabin or meeting room. The keys themselves offer a solid typing experience, and the deck has no discernable flexing. Clickpad has a wide touch sensor, and supports all the gestures and multitouch controls that make Windows 8 more navigable. Two stereo speakers provide enough sound, enhanced with DTS Sound software. They provided decent sound, I was watching YouTube videos or streaming music, Satellite E45t providing better quality audio than many entry-level systems.
