Consequently, it is no surprise to see more mainstream manufacturers aggressively getting into the game. Gaming laptop slimmed down in recent months, and the pursuit V 15 Nitro is no exception, measuring 0.9 by 15.3 by 10.1 inches (HWD) and weighs 5.29 pounds. The laptop features a black, plastic construction, with pointed caps texture throughout. Hinge is solid, bare metal, and metal acts as both an internal frame for the system. Open the lid, and you'll get a bit more flair than you might expect. The palm rest and touchpad are both matte-black as the cover, but the keyboard is backlit with red glow, lighting up the lettering and the edges of each key. Offers the chiclet-style keys a great feeling when typing, but while the flat keycaps are fine, I prefer the slightly curved surface of the key conflict between Lenovo Y50 Touch. A large clickpad gives you all the moves you need to control Windows 8, but the touchpad is not ideal for gaming, so I would recommend a separate gaming mouse.

The Maingear Pulse 15, for example, has 3k (2880-by-1620) display. But while you pay more for higher pixel density, it may not be money well spent, as most of the game trying to play decent frame rate when the resolution ramps up. As mentioned, the display in pursuit V 15 Nitro is one of the features that can save you a substantial amount of money without sacrificing the gameplay experience. The audio is actually pretty good, with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater surround sound and four built-in speakers. The sound quality is clear, without much distortion at high volumes.

Most of the port and the laptop connectors are located on the right side of the system, where you will find a compact Gigabit Ethernet port, an HDMI-out port, three USB 3.0 ports, and a headset jack. In front of the laptop has a slot for SD card, and on the left is a Kensington lock slot for physical security of the system. Inside, a dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, which is not bad, but it would be slower than 802.11ac found in most of the current system.

Laptop with 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) for faster Booting and better performance, with extra 1TB hard drive for ample storage.
