Design and Features
The U2442T-CF1 is a fairly common looking ultrabook, with a dark brushed metal lid and matte silver bright silver keyboard deck. The backlit keyboard Black contrasts well with bright silver keyboard deck, which makes a pleasant than the largely monochrome keyboard editors high-end ultrabook 'Choice Acer Aspire S7-392-6411 keys more Hunt- and-peck typing. The keyboard is comfortable and reacts quickly to the press typing, the keyboard without any Flex. The system measures about 0.8 by 13.5 by 9 inches (HWD), and weighs in at 3.93 pounds. It is noticeably heavier than the system like the Acer Aspire S7, the Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (Mid 2013) ($ 1099) (£ 2.91) and Sony VAIO Pro 13 ($ 1,250) (£ 2.30). It is one of the heavier high-end ultrabook systems we've seen, but that is relative since mid-1990 laptop tipped the scale at over 8 pounds.

In addition to the comfortable screen and keyboard, trackpad is adequately sized U2442T-CF1 meets with multi-touch compatibility also. Trackpad with a single piece of physical mouse buttons below the trackpad, which can be reassuring to users who need a familiar tactile experience when using the PC. The system has speakers mounted under the perforated deck keyboard just below the screen, and sound fine for video and music they love. The 14-inch screen has a glossy glass cover with a decent amount of blank space on the bezel to accelerate the Windows 8 gestures.

This brings us to our first issue U2442T-CF1: It has a screen resolution of 1336-by-768. While the current minimum resolution for most Windows programs, it seems to be a bit Snug in a system with a price over $ 1,000. For example, the same Acer Aspire S7 Pro 13 and Sony Vaio with 1920 by 1080 resolution screen (full HD 1080p). Granted, Sony and Acer use the Intel HD graphics exclusively, while there is also the Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce graphics, and we'll see the impact with the bottom. There is enough space on the screen for 720p HD video U2442T-CF1, but if you need to see a large part of the web site or Excel spreadsheet, which you want a higher screen resolution.

The U2442T-CF1 has 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi, but lacks 5GHz 802.11 a / g / n compatibility. This is an issue if you use a dual-band router with 802.11no 802.11ac. The system is free of bloatware, like Vizio 15.6-inch Thin + Light Touch (CT15T-B1) ($ 1,350). At the onset of the screen, the only addition to more than what is in every Windows 8 system is the Microsoft program Skype, fresh paint, and an ad for Microsoft Office. The sole addition to the starting screen control panel SmartManager Gigabyte, with touch-optimized buttons for volume, brightness, power mode, Wi-Fi and Blutetooth radios, and mute. The control panel has an on / off switch also camera, backlit keyboard, touch screen, Turbo Smart, and Smart cooling. U2442T-CF1 making a good choice for users who do not want to uninstall scads of bloatware when they first start up a system. The U2442T-CF1 is a two year warranty, twice that of rivals.
